VERY NICE MID GRADE 1953 BOWMAN COLOR COMPLETE BASEBALL SET LOADED WITH STARS AND HOFERS. TOUGH TO FIND IN NICE SHAPE! Overall condition is VG+/VGEX in MY OPINION (yours may vary). Lots of variation from G to EXMT.

I would estimate about 40% VG, 30% VGEX, 20% EX, 5% EXMT or better and the rest G with starts in similar shape. Set was stored in album with old pages and some of the oil residue rubbed off on a good number of the cards. It's not very obvious, but some cards have discoloration spots and minor staining. They present VERY WELL and overall it's a fairly nice set overall with excellent break-up value. Rizzuto VG+/VGEX (corner wear with wrinkling by tips, minor discoloration on back).

Musial G/G+ (corner wear, creasing, minor staining, tiny paper loss on back). Reese G (corner wear, creasing, tiny stain dot on back). Mantle/Berra/Bauer G- (corner wear, creasing, minor discoloration on back).

Campanella VG/VG+ (corner wear, surface crease on back, staining on front). Mantle VG+ (looks nicer, corner wear two light surface wrinkles, minor discoloration on back). Hodges VG+/VGEX (corner wear and wrinkling near tips, hairline surface wrinkle, minor discoloration on back). Rizzuto/Martin G (corner wear, creasing, minor discoloration on back).

Mathews VG/VG+ (off center, corner wear, light surface crease, stain spots on back). Spahn VG/VG+ (corner wear with wrinkling near tips, surface crease by lower right, minor discoloration on back). Feller EX- (off center, corner wear, minor discoloration on back). Snider VG/VG+ (corner wear, 2 light surface creases, minor discoloration on back).

Martin VGEX+ (corner wear, tiny hairline wrinkle, discoloration on back). Berra VGEX+/EX (appears nicer, off center, surface crease on back, discoloration on back). Ford VG+/VGEX (corner wear with wrinkling by tips, no creases, discoloration on back). Abrams VG+ (corner wear, light surface crease, discoloration on back). Set is overall fairly clean and very presentable.

BRIGHT COLORS throughout and backs fairly clean overall other than the discoloration mentioned. Displayed in clean and clear NEW sheets as shown in pictures (no album). Hard to find out there in any grade, because you just don't see too many early 53 bowman color sets Priced fairly for a collector to enjoy, or break it apart, get cards graded and use it as an investment.
