VERY NICE MID GRADE 1953 BOWMAN COLOR COMPLETE BASEBALL SET LOADED WITH STARS AND HOFERS. TOUGH TO FIND IN NICE SHAPE! Overall condition is VG+/VGEX in MY OPINION. Lots of variation from G to EXMT+/NRMT.

I would estimate about 40% VG, 30% VGEX, 20% EX, 5% EXMT or better and the rest G with starts in similar shape. Mantle VG+ (beautiful centering, soft corners, NO creases, upper right corner wrinkle at tip, light wax stains on back). Rizzuto/Martin VG+/VGEX (NO creases, some surface scratches, soft corners and a couple of tiny corner wrinkles). Spahn G/VG surface creasing, wax stains on back. Snider VG- (nicely centered, surface creases, soft corners).

Ford EXMT (beautiful centering, very crisp card with some print defects on front). Musial appears VG+/VGEX (no creases, corner wrinkles, tape on left edge, wax stains on back). Reese VG (bottom right crease).

Mantle/Berra/Bauer VG+ (beautiful centering, soft corners, some surface scratches, corner wrinkles). Campanella VGEX/VGEX+ (off center, NO creases, fuzzy corners, tiny hairline corner wrinkle on upper right). Hodges VG+/VGEX (off center, soft corners, NO creases). Mathews VGEX (off center, appears EX at first, surface crease by lower left, wax stain on back). Feller G/VG (rounded corners, NO creases, discoloration on back).

Martin VGEX (appears EX+/EXMT, surface wrinkle). Berra VG/VG+ (fuzzy to lightly rounded corners, very small surface wrinkles, very light glue staining on back).

Abrams G (rounded corners, surface creases, wax stains on back). Set is overall fairly clean and very presentable. BRIGHT COLORS throughout and backs fairly clean overall. Displayed in clean and clear NEW sheets as shown in pictures (no album). LOTS of beautifully white and crisp cards throughout.

A good amount have some wax damage, water stains, discoloration and/or paper loss on back. Hard to find out there in any grade, because you just don't see too many early 53 bowman color sets Priced fairly for a collector to enjoy, or break it apart, get cards graded and use it as an investment. Perfect as a gift for friends or family. Please look at pictures carefully and ask any and all questions beforehand.
