GI Joe Complete Collection Vol 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 Hardcover HC Graphic Novel Lot

For sale today are eight huge and very rare/hard-to-find (htf) IDW Publishing hardcover (HC) graphic novels from the GI Joe Complete Collection books, by Larry Hama, Herb Trimpe, and Rod Whigham. They make up the entire Marvel series as well as numerous other lines, altogether containing 2168 pages, and completing the series (currently at the least - Volume 9 was supposed to be released a few years back but was delayed indefinitely and is in all likelihood cancelled). Presenting the full run of original A REAL AMERICAN HERO and SPECIAL MISSIONS tales, placed in proper reading order and collected in handsome hardcover volumes. Ontains extras such as character file cards and an introduction by Mark W.

Bellomo that sheds light on the creation of the series. I don't believe in using a number grade system - to me they are mostly utilized as a method to be ambiguous about exact condition and/or individual imperfections - but I do attempt to describe anything other than minor cover shelf-scuffing/scratching in detail. If a certain flaw discussed below does not mention that it affects inside pages, then it does not.

Any'light indent' referred to regarding inside pages are mostly seen under direct illumination only; and likewise, if any more severe it will be denoted. These novels are in varied conditions, from'good' to'great', but all with attached spines and great to excellent (most are'excellent') overall inside pages (photos#11,12 examples).

They have some lighter signs of almost entirely external wear spread throughout; their only collective flaw is some light shelf-scuffing/scratching on their'stripes' that go across each cover. The TL;DR versions of each book's condition below is in. Italics , with the more in-depth collectors' paragraphs below them.

USC and LSC have light 1/2 horizontal indents around them on the back covers, USC has an additional small ding at the corner, and a small scuff/peel.

Front and back covers' top, bottom, and page edges have little if any shelf-wear other than a tiny/light cover indent adjacent the edge on the front's top edge near the spine corner, and a small ding on the back's top edge towards the middle. All outer corners have tiny scuffs, FTOC has an additional light bend. Very good to great condition - excellent overall inside page, few and lesser signs of almost entirely external wear. USC has a small indent around it on the front cover, both USC and LSC have tiny ones around them on the back cover.

Front and back covers' top, bottom, and page edges have little if any shelf-wear other than a tiny/light ding on the front's bottom edge near the spine corner (photo#9 w/illumination), that also shows around it on the cover as a small depression/indent. FTOC and BTOC possess tiny scuffs, with an additional tiny indent/depression on the front near the corner. FBOC and BBOC also have tiny scuffs. Front cover has a small indent towards the FBOC. Page#37/38 has a 1 indent around the top outer corner, a few pages spread throughout have a small/light indent towards the top outer corners.

Good to very good condition - great overall inside pages, other than an outer corner ding that lightly affects pages, a few lighter and primarily external signs of wear. USC has a 1/2 indent around it on the front cover. LSC has a tiny ding where it meets the front cover, with small horizontal indents around it on both covers. Spine edge has a small/light indent near its middle where it meets the front cover. Front and back covers' top, bottom, and page edges have little if any shelf-wear other than a small but moderate ding on the back cover's top edge near its middle, and a tiny/light one on the back's bottom edge near its middle. The top edge one shows on pages #272-290 as a tiny scuff. BTOC has a ding that causes a small tear on the hardcover and a 1/2 indent around it (photo#9 w/illumination). Indent shows on the last 4 pages, and thru the rest as a light 3/4 depression/bend.

FTOC has a small indent around it, with a small ding/bend at it, and a small tear. On its outer wrap on the inner part of the hardcover. FBOC has a small indent around it, BBOC has a tiny one. Back cover possesses a tiny/light indent/depression at its lower half, and a light 3/4 indent/scuff near the page edge on the stripe. Light 3 scratch on the stripe near its bottom edge.

A few pages from #88-108 have a small/light indent near their page edge, and/or a few small/light vertical indents adjacent their bottom edges. Vol 4 : Very good to great condition - excellent inside pages, few and lesser signs of external wear. USC has tiny scuffs where it meets each cover, with tiny indents around the corner on the covers. LSC has 1/2 indents around the corner on each.

Front and back covers' top, bottom, and page edges have little if any shelf-wear other than a small ding on the back's bottom edge near its middle. FTOC and BTOC have tiny scuffs. FBOC has a tiny scuff/tear on its outer wrap on the inner part of the hardcover. BBOC has a small indent around it.

Front cover possesses a 1/2 indent towards its upper half (photo#9 w/illumination), with a tiny/light one near the top edge. Back cover has a tiny indent/depression near its bottom edge, a very light 1" near the page edge, and a light 1" indent/scratch near its top edge. A few light scratches above and below the stripe across the cover's center. Vol 5 : Good condition - great overall inside pages, other than a moderate spine corner compression/indent, few and lesser signs of primarily external wear.

USC has small indents around it on each cover. LSC has some compression/bending/light indent around it, causes a moderate 1/2" indent and light 1" indent around it on the front cover, and a 1/2 indent around it and small scuff/tear at it on the back cover (photo#10). Also causes a small but moderate indent/depression around the LSC on pages.

Front and back covers' top, bottom, and page edges have light if any shelf-wear other than a tiny/light ding on the back's page edge near the bottom corner. FTOC, FBOC, BTOC, and BBOC all possess minimal wear. Front cover has a vertical 1.5 indent on its spine edge towards the upper corner, and a tiny one near the lower corner. 2 tiny/light indents/depressions towards the FTOC. Book has a light vertical curl/bend towards its page edge.

Vol 6 : Good to very good condition - great inside pages, other than some light outer corner bends, some lighter and primarily external signs of wear. USC has a small indent around it on the front cover, and a small ding at it and a 1/2 indent around it on the back cover. LSC has light scuffing/bending, with a ding where it meets the front cover - causes a 1" indent around the corner on the front cover, and a 1/2" one around it on the spine edge. 1/2 around corner on back cover. Front cover's top edge has a small/light ding/indent towards the spine corner, back cover's top edge has a small but more prominent one towards the spine corner. Back cover's bottom edge has 3 tiny/light dings towards the outer corner, and a small but more prominent one near the edge's middle.

Otherwise, the book's edges have light if any shelf-wear. FTOC and BTOC have small dings/bends, back covers' goes thru 1/2 pages as a light bend. BTOC also has an additional small indent around it.

FBOC has a small indent around it, with a small. Scuff/tear on its outer wrap on the inner part of the hardcover. BBOC has a small bend, goes thru 1/3 pages lightly. Front cover has a small/light scuff/smudge near its lower half, and a tiny indent/depression near its center.

Back cover has a 1/2 vertical indent on its spine edge towards the upper corner, and a small/light one near the USC (photo#10). Very light vertical 2 scuff/smudge towards the cover's lower half. 3/4" residue/sticky patch near spine edge's middle (photo#10 w/illumination - might come off; I prefer not to mess with them), and some light 2" shelf-scuffs nearby. Book has a very light vertical bend/curl near its middle.

Vol 7 : Very good overall condition - great overall inside pages, other than 1 outer corner indent/bend, few and lesser signs of primarily external wear. USC has light scuffing/bending, and 1/2 indents around it on each cover. LSC has a small ding where it meets the back cover, with a small indent around it on the back cover. Nearby 1 indent around corner on the front cover.

Front and back covers' top, bottom, and page edges have little if any shelf-wear other than a small/light ding on the front's top edge towards the spine corner, another on the back's bottom edge towards the spine corner, and a tiny one with additional cover indent near its middle. FTOC, FBOC, and BTOC have minimal wear. BBOC has a small ding, causes a 1/2 bend/light indent around it, a light depression/indent on 25 pages, a bend to 1/4 pages, and a tiny scuff/light bend to 2/3 pages.

Front cover has a small indent/scratch towards its bottom edge, and 2 more near the bottom edge of the stripe. Back cover has a few light shelf-scuff patches around its lower half. Book has a light vertical curl/bend near its middle. Vol 8 : Very good overall condition - excellent inside pages, some mostly lighter, and almost entirely external signs of wear. USC has small indents around it on each cover, with a 1/2 one where it meets the back cover on the spine edge itself.

LSC has a small peel/scuff/ding where it meets the front cover, causes a small tear around the corner on the front cover itself (photo#10). 1/2 indent around corner on back cover. Front cover's top edge has a tiny/light ding towards the outer corner, bottom edge has a small one towards the outer corner, and a tiny/light one near the spine corner. Back cover's top edge has a 1/4 moderate ding near its middle, its bottom edge has a small/light one near the outer corner. Otherwise, book's edges have little if any shelf-wear. FTOC has a tiny indent/scuff, FBOC has a small/light indent/ding. BTOC and BBOC both possess small bends, tops' shows as a small/light indent/bend on a few pages.

Front cover has a small ding/depression near its top edge, and 2 tiny/lighter ones near the FTOC. Back cover has 2 tiny spine edge indents near its middle.

I always pack books firmly between pieces of cardboard (among other materials/layers) via Gemini Comic mailers or bubble mailers depending on size; usually utilizing boxes for larger lots.
